The Bluebond Music School band program is the cornerstone of our school. When students are ready, they are given the opportunity to join one of our student bands. The bands rehearse for three months. Once a week they practice with a teacher for one hour. They learn what it is really like to play in a band. They must decide what songs they want to play. Learning to work through all of the band politics is great learning experience. With guidance from the teacher the students learn how to put songs together. With each performance the students get better and better. We have seen such amazing growth in the students that participate in the program. But the most important part of the program is that it is a lot of fun. Whether the students are kids who are just beginning their musical path, or older students who are living a life long dream, performing in front of 200 people is a thrill. Lessons are available for guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals. Our instructors are trained professionals, proficient in many styles of music. Students will receive training in the style of music that they desire. Bluebond Music School can accommodate any level from beginner to advanced. Our teacher are dedicated to providing the best possible musical instruction on the students instrument of choice.
Lessons will include technique exercises and music theory. Sight reading and tabulator will also be taught. Learning to read music and understanding music theory are an often overlooked aspect of guitar/bass instruction. A large part of our lesson plan includes playing songs that the student wants to learn. Learning to play songs that the student actually listens to keeps the lesson fun and helps keep the student motivated.
The Bluebond Music School is an extension of Bluebond Guitars. We have been an integral part of the Philadelphia music scene for over a decade. Now we are helping to ensure a vibrant musical future for the city. The Bluebond Music School offers more than just musical instruction. We strive to foster creativity, originality and innovation. The process of learning an instrument should be a journey into becoming able to creatively express yourself. There are so many great musicians to draw influence from, but learning an instrument is not only about learning to copy the greats. Instead, it is to grow into the musician you always knew you could be. At the Bluebond Music School, all students receive private one on one lessons. We have found that it is important for students to have a teacher focused on their needs. Our younger students have benefited greatly from private lessons. Building a rapport with a teacher helps create an atmosphere conducive to learning.
In addition to the private lesson, students are placed into bands to work together. Working with other musicians is an important step in the growth of a student. The bands work with a teacher in 12 week sessions. Their hard work pays off at a Bluebond Music School concert. Playing in front of 200 people is a fantastic way to start off your musical career. We have band programs for both adults and kids. No matter how old or young you are, we have a band for you.
